The general UI is just thought out better and everything looks nicer. The other big advantage JJX has it's that it's more polished overall. You also have the option to both select what you want to build from a list or use the 3-by-3 grid crafting method where you put ingredients in the right spot to craft things. In JJX you also got a lot more recipes for things you can build. It's a lot more cleaner and the lightning seems nicer. You could say you could build nicer looking things in Terraria because the blocks are smaller but I think the overall general aesthetic of JJX more. The controls in crafting have to resort on weird things like zooming to help out. The controls for action gameplay are too twitchy for my taste and Terraria requires fast and responsive controls. Unless you mainly do some quite crafting but then that would defeat the purpose of Terraria. I think the controls of Terraria work good on the iPad but not that good at all on iPhone. It helps, and the game is playable, it's just not as smooth as in JJX where the controls are much more accessible. Terraria tries to solve this by having controls that zoom in and automaticly select boxes based on the direction you want to mine. This means the game is harder to control. In Terraria a 3x3 grid is about the size of your character. In JJX a single block is roughly the size of your character. The pacing is a bit slower and less twitchy which helps a lot. The thing is, on a touch screen the later kind of game works better. Terraria focusses on action adventure based stuff where as Junk Jack X is more creation based and has more of a minecraft feel to it (even though it's still very different from Minecraft).
